Excellent episode and perspective Lilly. We can evolve and shift where we are on the spectrum.

I love the idea of using these terms to explain where we are in certain situations but also what to aim for.

We don't need to be trapped by them but motivated.

I see insecure attachment styles in many of my burnout clients. Without self-awareness we're more likely to use unhelpful coping strategies to deal with what's going on.

Thank you for sharing!

Yes! I don’t think we are stuck where we are.

I’m curious, what are you noticing most in your clients for unhealthy coping strategies?

It depends on their burnout pattern but often with the people-pleasers, perfectionists or overthinkers, there is an interpersonal discomfort driving many avoidance or ignoring boundaries.

I hear their self-stories which are about how they've learnt to be or act early on which bumps up unhelpful coping habits.

Do you see that in your work too, especially with attachment styles or other areas?

Absolutely! Childhood patterns (survival responses and attachment) carry into adulthood. I'd love to collaborate at some point if you're interested!
